Learn how to create, switch, and manage multiple Cipherscale Spaces. Establish administrative boundaries and segment your operational environments.
A Cipherscale Space is a dedicated administrative tenant generated upon signup, serving as your centralized command center to manage Users, Devices, Gateways, and Zero Trust access policies via the Administration Portal.
While a single space can govern an entire organization, administrators may need to provision multiple Cipherscale spaces to establish strict administrative boundaries, manage distinct business entities, or segment varying operational environments (e.g., development vs. production) within a unified multi-tenant cloud service.
Creating Your First Space
To establish your primary administrative tenant, follow the following steps:
-
Navigate to cipherscale.com in your web browser.
-
Click Sign Up and authenticate your identity using either a Google or Microsoft account.
-
Upon successful authentication, designate a name for your space, which will establish your dedicated operational URL in the format of
[space_name].cipherscale.com. -
Click Enter Cipherscale to finalize the creation and access your Administration portal.
Creating Additional Spaces
To provision supplementary spaces for segmented management, follow these steps from within an active administration portal:
-
Locate and click the Cipherscale space drop-down menu at the top of the Navigation Menu.
-
Select Spaces + to initiate a new deployment.
-
Input the designated name for the new space.
-
Click Create Cipherscale Space to finalize provisioning.
Switching Between Spaces
To transition your administrative oversight between multiple operational spaces:
-
Sign in to your current Cipherscale space administration portal.
-
Open the Cipherscale space drop-down menu at the top of the Navigation Menu.
-
Select the target space you wish to switch to from the displayed list.
-
The current space will transition to the targeted one.
Managing and Deleting Spaces
To audit, access, or terminate existing spaces, follow the steps below:
-
Open the Cipherscale space drop-down at the top of the Navigation Menu and click Manage Spaces.
-
Audit & Access: You will view a list of your spaces. Spaces where you operate strictly as an Admin (but not the Owner) will appear under the "Additional spaces" section. For these, you only have the authorization to click Open to view their respective portals.
-
Termination (Owners Only): Only the designated Owner of a space is authorized to delete it. To proceed with termination, click Delete next to the target space.
-
Verification: Deleting a space permanently eradicates all configurations and cannot be undone. You must manually type the name of the space to confirm your intent, then click the final Delete button to execute.
