Describes the customized goal-driven onboarding process.
Overview
When you first sign in to Cipherscale, the platform operates in Guided Onboarding Mode. Rather than presenting a complex dashboard, the interface is minimized to focus entirely on your immediate security goal. The AI orchestrates a custom workflow, revealing only the necessary navigation tools as you reach specific milestones.
Defining Your Goal
Upon entry, the Copilot Pane is your primary workspace. The Navigation Menu is restricted to "Teams" to ensure a focused setup.
Select a Prompt Catalyst or enter your intent in the Intent Bar.
-
Example:"Secure access to private apps on AWS for employees in the USA."
Note: Your choice here dictates the UI's future state. For example, if your goal is SaaS-only, the Private Access and Internet Access menus will remain hidden to keep your workspace clean.
The Milestone Workflow
Once your intent is submitted, the AI plans a multi-step workflow and displays the Progress Bar in the Copilot Pane with a list of milestones. Each milestone represents a critical phase of your configuration journey.
As the AI initiates the workflow, it will pause for Action Validation when a decision requires admin authority.
-
Automated Execution: Many steps are handled by the AI, some may require you to provide names and values for some configuration parameters.
-
Visual Progress: Completed steps are indicated with a strikethrough in the Progress Bar.
-
Adaptive Navigation: As milestones like "Saas Applications" or "Gateways" are finalized, the corresponding icons will appear in the Navigation Menu, granting you access to those specific management areas.
Finalizing and "Unlocked" State
Once the final milestone is struck through in the Progress Bar, the onboarding phase is complete. The onboarding phase can be skipped by clicking Skip Onboarding at the bottom of the progress bar.
-
The Overview: The Copilot Pane transitions from a guided wizard to its persistent state, ready for day-to-day operations displaying the Overview section with the Detail Pane
-
Persistence: The configurations made during this "Zero-to-One" flow are now visible in the Data Grids of the newly unlocked sections of the Navigation Menu.

-
Prompt the AI to provide a corrective suggestion.
-
Once you fix any external issue (like a cloud firewall rule), type "Retry" in the Intent Bar.
