The UI is split between the AI Orchestration Layer (where you define intent) and the Evidence Layer (where you verify the state of the system). This reference labels the various UI elements and functions.
Overview
Cipherscale utilizes an AI-native interface designed to translate your natural language intent into configuration tasks and analysis. The AI assistance provided throughout is referenced as AI Copilot.
The UI is split between the AI Orchestration Layer (where you define intent) and the Evidence Layer (where you verify the state of the system).
The Core AI Orchestration Elements
-
Copilot Pane: The central conversational area. This is where you interact with the AI Copilot to ask questions, draft configurations, confirm changes, and view deployment progress.
-
Action Validation: The human-in-the-loop confirmation step. Before the AI makes any changes, it will present a Confirm or Cancel block for your final approval. To skip action validation, you can toggle the Skip confirmation prompts switch located below the Intent Bar.
-
Intent Bar: The primary text entry field at the bottom of the Copilot Pane. Use this to provide instructions (e.g., "Add a Gateway") or ask questions (e.g., "Why is Ron blocked?").
-
Prompt Catalysts: Preset, context-aware buttons presented by the AI. These act as "starters" to trigger complex onboarding flows or common administrative tasks with a single click.
Evidence Elements
-
Details Pane: The right-hand panel (in split view) or the top panel (in overlay view) that displays technical evidence of the current platform state. It houses Data Grids (tables), real-time logs, and configuration details.
-
Data Grid: The structured tables found within the Details Pane. These grids list Users, Gateways, or Resources and reflect the current "Live" state of your Cipherscale Space.
-
Progress Bar: A specialized list within the Copilot Pane used during onboarding to show progress through specific setup milestones. As the configuration progresses, completed milestones are shown with strikethroughs.
Interaction Modes
To optimize your workspace, the UI supports three viewing modes that can be toggled using the layout icons at the top-right:
-
Focus Mode: The Copilot Pane occupies the full screen. Best for complex logic building and high-level auditing. Click on the eye icon to hide the Details Pane.
-
Split View: The Copilot Pane and Details Pane are visible side-by-side.
-
Overlay View: The Details Pane expands over the Copilot Pane. Best for deep-diving into long logs or analysis.
Navigation Elements
-
Navigation Menu: The left-hand sidebar contains icons for various configuration and detail sections. Remember, during initial onboarding, several of these icons remain hidden until the AI provisions the relevant infrastructure for your use case. By locking the Navigation Menu based on the selected goal, the system prevents "configuration noise."
-
Details Ribbon: Located at the top, this sub-navigation tab bar allows you to toggle between different detail pane views. For example, when displaying the Overview, the Details Ribbon allows you to switch between a high-level Overview, Sessions, and Logs.
