How do I add an Access Policy for Internet Access?

Access policies provide identity-based access to private resources, SaaS apps, and the internet, one of the core zero-trust principles.

Follow the steps below to configure an access policy for internet access:

  1. Sign in to your cipherscale space administration portal.

  2. Navigate to Internet Access

  3. Select the Access Policies tab.

  4. Click + Add Access Policy, which is present in the top right corner.

  5. Provide a Name for the policy.

  6. Optionally, provide a Description.

  7. For the Source, search for or select one or more Groups, Users, and Devices from the drop-down list and click Apply.

  8. Select Local so as not to affect the normal routing of internet traffic.

  9. Select Restricted to block access to all destinations other than those configured as cipherscale SaaS Applications and Private Resources.

  10. Select an Internet Access Point to route all Internet traffic for the chosen sources via an Internet Access Point.

    1. Select an Internet Access Point from the drop-down list.

  11. For Apply this policy when admission rules are met, select one of the admission rules from the drop-down list or choose the option to create a new admission rule. See Admission Rules

  12. Click Create Policy.
